my comforter is also gold and i painted 3 of my walls lavender. The last wall i painted dark yellow and used a grocery bag to “rag paint” metallic gold paint over the dark yellow. It ended up looking really good. And if you don’t like that, red always looks good with gold.

    ~hope this helps you!

I’d go bold–you know when leaves turn color in the fall? I’d paint your walls a burnt red. Not bright red, not cranberry red, but the rusty red. If that wouldn’t work out because of not enough lighting or if it’s too small of a room and the color would make the space seem even smaller, then I’d go for an icicle blue. Almost so pale it looks cloudy white/gray.

Deep Burgandy Red- at leat 1 wall, maybe headboard wall. Looks Great with Champagne!!

How about a Plum or Eggplant color, you can do one main wall this color and go with a lighter color to work with the Champagne Gold.
If you not to big on these color ideas you can take your pillow case or comforter to a paint store and lay it out and throw some sample tags of colors on it to see what you like.

olive green walls would look nice with the gold. Also you can add touches of browns and dark reds with pillows or lamps ect. Those colors would look great with dark rich brown furniture. It’ll give a sophisticated and royal feel. Maybe just maybe even a small touch of purple.

    Thats a great idea too!

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the “painted” rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a deep green like “shamrock” (# 6454) might look stunning with the gold.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they’ll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
